Where We Work: Pompano Beach and Broward County

Twelve towns, each within twenty-five minutes of the yard, each with its own page because the roofs, the permits and the problems are genuinely different in each.

Roofing crew working across Broward County from Pompano Beach FL

Twelve towns, all within twenty-five minutes of the Pompano Beach yard, each with a page of its own. The pages are not the same page with the name swapped: the permit fees differ, the housing stock differs by thirty years across the ring, and one of the twelve is not even in the same building code jurisdiction.

Towns covered, with drive time from Pompano Beach and the roofing issue that dominates each one. Drive times are typical off-peak and get worse on the I-95 between four and six.

Why does the radius stop at twenty-five minutes?

Because past that the travel starts eating the job and you stop getting a good deal. A crew that has driven fifty minutes to a repair either charges you for the drive or does the job in a hurry to get back, and neither of those is what you are paying for. Twenty-five minutes also happens to be roughly the distance at which somebody closer is genuinely a better call, and we would rather say that on the phone than send a truck.

What if my town is not on the list?

Call anyway. Sea Ranch Lakes, Tamarac, North Lauderdale, Sunrise, Lauderhill and Pompano Highlands all sit close enough that we work in them regularly without maintaining a page for each. What we will not do is quote something two counties away because the enquiry came in, since a roof needs somebody who can come back if there is a problem, and that is the whole argument for using a local crew in the first place.

Does the price change by town?

The labour and material do not. Three things genuinely move: the city permit fee, which varies from a $75 minimum in Pompano Beach to a flat $463 in Coral Springs for the same sloped re-roof; the coastal fastener and flashing specification, worth $400 to $1,600 within about a mile of the Atlantic; and access, on the tight lots in Wilton Manors or a tower on the Hillsboro Mile. Everything else is the same roof at the same price wherever you are in the ring. The city-by-city permit comparison is on the Broward permit fee page.

Is the whole area inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone?

Eleven of the twelve towns are, because the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone covers Broward and Miami-Dade counties in their entirety. Boca Raton is the exception: it sits in Palm Beach County, north of the line, where the statewide Florida Product Approval system applies instead of the Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. That single county boundary changes which products are legal, whether a recover is permitted, and how the deck has to be treated. Details on the Boca Raton page and in the permit and code guide.

Every service on the services list is available in every town above. Call (954) 697-4046.

Is your street inside the radius?

If your town is on this page, yes. If it is a few miles beyond it, call anyway and we will give you a straight answer rather than sending a truck for the sake of it.
